'Jabulani's Great Adventures... Cape to Cairo' Proposal to produce a new international educational and entertaining television series on the puppetry, mask and music traditions in many countries throughout the African continent.

A unique television series is proposed which will discover the richly-textured cultures and peoples living on this continent, looking through the eyes of a most unusual puppet personality, Jabulani Goldstein.

Jabulani would enable us to discover hidden cultural treasures, traditions and live a slice of life of the ordinary people and their rich cultures. The adventure will begin in South Africa, to which Jabu has recently returned after many years in exile, firstly discovering his own race, culture and traditional arts. After a time, he plans his adventure to explore his native continent.
He curiously follows village to village discovering a new view on life in Africa, through the eyes of the people he meets along the way. People share with him their culture, music, dance, mask and puppetry traditions, most of which he has never seen before.
The series could be shot simultaneously in English and French, the most common two languages in Africa, and could then be sold to both English- and French-speaking countries throughout the world. If interested, kindly contact us for more information!
